New live album from one of progressive music’s premier bands: Threshold. And even with their impressive back catalogue, this is not a best of played live. No, this double album has focus on their two latest albums: “For the Journey” and “March of Progress”, nine of the fifteen featured songs are off those two brilliant albums.
Only one song dates back to the last millennium, and some might be missing a few classics, but I don’t. This impressive live album just flows, one highlight follows another, and all of a sudden you’ve listen to the entire set.
Normally I do not rate live albums because the objectivity is often lost when people rate their favourite bands performing live. But this is one of the best if not the best live album I’ve come across the last couple of years. And I actually like live albums, which I know many fans don’t.
It’s great to be able to crank up the stereo with some of my favourite Threshold songs like “The Hours”, “Ground Control”, “Long Way Home” or “Pilot in the Sky of Dreams” and this is a mandatory purchase for fans of Threshold and progressive music in general!
