Pagan’s Mind: God’s Equation – I think the closest to perfection in progressive, melodic power metal I’ve ever heard. Exodus: The Atrocity Exhibition – Exhibit A – the ultimate thrash release of this year – I just love Exodus (they still kick serious ass!), and can’t wait ‘til the release of more Exhibits… Haste The Day: Pressure The Hinges – my first encounter with screamo/metalcore – this one really hooked me from day 1. Non-divine: Asylum 45 – really groovy metal/heavyrock. Overkill: Immortalis – because of the live-DVD from their concert in Wacken this year (and finding out I’m on the motherf***er, hehe). Porcupine Tree: Fear Of A Blank Planet – not their best release ever, but it opened my eyes for this great prog band. Saga: Worlds Apart Revisited – nothing really new, but good live versions of good old tracks.
Live show 2007
Metallica – nice to see more than 50000 people attend a metal concert on my home ground in Aarhus – actually I had decided not to go, but a friend offered me his ticket in the last moment – as Thomas wrote in the review, it was a mixed experience, and all though their later albums haven’t done anything for me, they are still icons in metal. Tourettes pre-release mini-concert in the press-tent at Wacken. It was almost scary in power, intensity and control. Overkill, All That Remains and Sacred Reich also at Wacken Open Air. Saga, the farewell tour for Michael Sadler – I’ve seen them better than this, but I never get tired of listening to the many personal hits I have…
Newcomer 2007
Demia – Dutch thrash/metalcore Drone – German Thrash Non-divine – Dutch melodic metal/heavyrock Slavior – American progressive, melodic hard rock Soulbreach – Swedish melodic thrash

Our crappy camp-placing on W:O:A – it sucks to have to walk for 30 minutes (or more) to or from a concert if you’re half-pissed or “a bit” tired… Overall of course stuff like bad news on TV (terrorism, global warming and what-have-you…), lazy and stupid people in general, stress and too little time for everything I want to do.
Biggest experience in 2007
Meeting and interviewing Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth of Overkill, one of my absolute favourite singers in (thrash) metal of all times, and finding out that he’s a really cool and down-to-earth guy.
Wishes for 2008
That I finally, after months of searching and trial-rehearsals, find a band that fits me musically and mentally. Less stress and more time to do the things I like…

The Forbidden comeback results in an album! Great albums from Ayreon (check!), Jag Panzer, Opeth, Evergrey and maybe even Metallica. The White Lion re-union is worth the effort. Hitting the jackpot in the Lottery!
