Important releases in 2006
Slayer – Christ Illusion (returning to the “old style” ala ‘South of Heaven’ / ‘Seasons in the Abyss’ (Lombardo rules!!!)).

Evergrey – Monday Morning Apocalypse

Vanden Plas – Christ O Rage – Speak of the Dead (first half)

Live show 2006
Volbeat at Train in September really took me by surprise in a very positive way. Saga – delivering the goods as usual… Metal Church, Mortal Sin and Whitesnake at Wacken.
Newcomer 2006
None really earthshaking for me. All my new “discoveries” of 2006 were not newcomers.
Things you could have been without in 2006
In the music business – nothing really (except maybe the seemingly high focus on black and death metal at W:O:A – gimme power… it’s better for partying!). Overall – off course stuff like bad news on TV, lazy and stupid people in general, stress and not enough time for everything I want to do.
Biggest experience in 2006
Meeting and interviewing Jim Crichton (Saga), one of the most important bands for me ever; listening to and playing music.
Wishes for 2007
Getting a more active life in music than the later years, listening more to recorded and live music (thanks for receiving me so well on this page – that’ll surely give me more oppertunities), and forming a new band to get to hammer my drums again.
