This German death metal combo started in 2010 and with one EP and an album in 2013, this is their second full length. I don’t know music from the first albums, so I’ll stick to this second album. I definitely hear influences of Swedish death metal bands like Entombed, Dismember and so on.
There is a nice groove in the songs and they also have certain riffs that could be from the early nineties death metal scene. But there are some different influences as well: Blastbeating violence with exellarating guitars in the song “Skin Turns Black” makes them sound different. Also, the brutal guttural sound of Jorge adds some extra to the music. “The Sewerage of God” opens with an almost never-ending vocal part and sounds like a combination of Benediction and early Dismember.
What I like most about the music are the groovy almost galopping parts. You can hear a perfect example for that in the second part of “One Pound of Iron”. Every song is worth listening to and the quality of the tracks is about the same. There are certainly no new elements in their music, but they are good in what they do – Just playing good death metal the way it should be done.
