“Indiscreet” was the very first sign of life from British hard rock institution FM back in 1986, and 30 years later they’ve re-recorded the whole thing, bringing it up to today’s standard soundwise.
Their debut album did OK back in the days, but in a year when American bands were ruling the hard rock charts and great albums like Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet, Tesla’s Mechanical Resonance and Cinderella’s Night Songs – just to name a few – were released, they sort of got a bit lost in the crowd.
Listening to the album all of those years later brings back fond memories and I think it’s a very cool idea to breathe new life into this album once more and the release offers great value for your money with the re-recorded album, new improved sound and the extra songs, which includes the brand new song “Running on Empty” and a cool acoustic version of “That Girl”.
Should you have missed out on this much overlooked little gem from the mid-80’s then I suggest you rush out to get it now.
Cool album!
