Winter Days of Metal

Winter Days of Metal: Rockin’ the winter of 2017

Once upon a time there was a wintry festival, located in the cover of a majestically towering mountain – this festival was called Winter Camp. It took place in a peaceful and secret area of charming Slovenia. No one knew if it was ever to return – Until now.

Hell yeah, it’s back! Seven years after the first event, Winter Camp will come back in a fresh new design.
The organizers of the biggest Slovenian festival, the MetalDays, will host the new festival in 2017 – Winter Days of Metal.

In the lovely surroundings of beautiful Bohinj valley, just right under the arm of Slovenia’s highest mountain Triglav, accenturated by breathtaking Lake of Bohinj, a new adventure is born. In March, the quiet village of Bohinjska Bistrica will welcome metalheads from all over the world. The event’s main location will be in Dvorana Danica of Bohinjska Bistrica. You will be able to enjoy real winter holidays merged with heavy, breaching metal sounds.

The skiing ground of the Vogel Ski Resort will offer you an amazing skiing experience on natural snow, simply spectacular views and very well-maintained ski slopes. Those who prefer some nice relaxing Spa are invited to Bohinj Aquapark, offering swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas and everything else that is needed for a relaxing stay.

When I kicked this site off back in 2003, I had no idea that it would turn into what it has become. I am very proud of what we've done and achieved over the years. Musically I have a soft spot for 80s inspired hard rock, but my favourite music and bands are all to be found in the progressive universe these days.
