This Thursday (15th October) QUARTZ (photo) are set for a rare live appearance alongside WOLFSBANE and Finnish upstarts SPEEDTRAP. London venue ‘The Dome’ will be hosting the event.
Quartz were formed in the mid-1970s and in 2011 staged a comeback after an inactivity of almost 30 years. The band members grew up in the same era and area of England as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest and Led Zeppelin. In fact Quartz guitarist Geoff Nicholls played guitar and keyboards with Black Sabbath for 23 years, although health reason will be preventing him from being on stage with his band-mates this Thursday.
Wolfsbane were formed when the NWOBHM was petering out. The band had split up after band vocalist Blaze Bayley had joined Iron Maiden, with whom he recorded 2 studio-albums.
