New single from Prophets of Rage
Prophets of Rage is now releasing the single ”Prophets of Rage” which is the first track from the bands upcoming EP that is to be released later this year. “Prophets of Rage” is produced by Brenda O’Brien thar Rage against the Machine worked with on both “Evil Empire” and “The Battle of Los Angeles”. Prophets of Rage concists of Tom Morello, Timmy C, Brad Wilks from Rage Against The Machine, Chuck D from Public Enemy, B-Real from Cypress Hill and DJ Lord.
Tom Morello that refuses to call the band a supergroup describes their agenda like this:
“Prophets of Rage are “an elite task force of revolutionary musicians determined to confront this mountain of election year bulls**t, and confront it head-on with Marshall stacks blazing”
“Prophets of Rage” is re-imagination of the original Public Enemy song of the same name, with new music and a new original verse from B-Real, the song gave life to the band’s name. Prophets of Rage will perform the single on Jimmy Kimmel Live! airing Monday July 25 at 11:35/10:35 CT on ABC.
The band is to kick of their “Make America Rage Again Tour” in Cleveland on the 19 th which is the same they as the Republicans starts their National congress.
