Henrietta – Brand new single “Wendigo” now available, album out soon on Sliptrick Records
Henrietta is a young band which knows how to channel the glory days of metal while still playing a style all of their own. There is some death metal, some thrash metal and even some progressive elements. This all is completed with melodic guitar playing and well composed vocal lines. After recording and releasing their well received debut album DEAD BY DAWN, Henrietta decided to step up their game. And with the addition of 2 new members, they started working on a new album. Whereas the first album was recorded as a 4 piece with Sytse Sasse on bass, the new recordings were done with Bram van Gasteren on bass and Lennard Uittenbroek on rhythm guitar. Completing the line up are original members Mark McLaughlin (vocals), Lasse Westerhof (drums) and Koen Oostendorp (lead and rhythm guitar). If one were to compare DEAD BY DAWN to the new album, titled GALLOPING CADAVERS, it would become clear that the songwriting has matured and is fundamentally heavier. With no-nonsense heavy metal headbangers like BOOK OF BLOOD and LEGEND IN MOTION and progressive thrash masterpieces like BIRTHED BELOW and WHITE FEATHER RAIN there is enough variety and quality to satisfy even the most seasoned of metal fans. The album was produced, mixed and edited by Koen Oostendorp at Knight Area Studios in Boskoop.
