Before the release on 23 september of Vader’s 11th studio album called “The Empire” the band releases this EP. With one cover song of a band we all know and a song of singer Piotrs project Panzer X in Polish language there are only 2 new Vader songs. Well, I have to say that I can hear by the vocals that this is Vader, but I can’t say that both new tracks are really death metal. The new songs have a lot of thrash elements and if you call Legion of the Damned and early Sepultura not death metal, then the new songs of Vader aren’t either.
Just raw thrash with aggressive vocals on high speed. Being a thrash fan, I sure like this more thrash rooted style the band has chosen. If the new album is full of this kind of songs it will be a hell of a thrash attack. The third track is slower and more groovy and of course the last song needs no introduction. Vader plays a nice version of this classic and it will sure make the crowd move playing it live. For fans that can’t wait until september, a nice nookie.
