Magnus Karlsson is a busy man, writing songs for many artists and projects: Bob Catley, Allen/Lande, Kiske/Somerville. He is also an important part of Primal Fear (new album in January 2016) and as a solo artist.  Solo under the moniker Magnus Karlsson’s Free Fall, he is now ready with his second album.

And he is also a very gifted musician; he has done all of the instrumental recording himself with the exception of drums, which Jaime Salazar has taken care of. Jacob Hansen is responsible for the production, so the basics for a great album is already in place.

So how do you take it to the next level and top the debut album? You simply hire some of the greatest voices in melodic metal! Just look at the names below and you know that part is more than covered.

Melodic rock fans are in for a very special treat here; eleven very strong gems. One stronger than the other, and one vocalist outshining the next. What more can you hope and dream for…

Not much – Magnus Karlsson has written and recorded one of the finest melodic metal albums you’ll come across this year. Catchy songs, massive riffs, great hooks, excellent vocalists, outstanding leads and and and … yes, it has it all, and this is an album you should not miss out on if you are into melodic metal.

When I kicked this site off back in 2003, I had no idea that it would turn into what it has become. I am very proud of what we've done and achieved over the years. Musically I have a soft spot for 80s inspired hard rock, but my favourite music and bands are all to be found in the progressive universe these days.
