Melodic death metal from Finland with a twist of thrash metal. Indeed I hear riffs and guitarsolos that remind me of the eighties thrash metal, but the biggest part is melodic death with influences of Children of Bodom and Arch Enemy. There is no single reason not to listen to this album more often, but I can imagine that you will listen to it once and then stop. There is nothing wrong with the music, but on the other hand I have heard it all before and perhaps better.
The most interesting part about the band is that the harsh and aggressive grunting vocals come from Viktoria Viren. If you don’t listen closer you could have thought that it was a male lead singer. Sure, this isn’t new in the metal scene either, but she sure does a good job. All songs are hard and heavy, accept for one. “No Way In the Lie” is the exception. This is a song with a soft part and clean singing of Viktoria. Here she shows that she also has a good clean singing voice.
My final conclusion is that this sure isn’t a bad full length debut, but it is too common to make a difference I think.
