TOMBS signs worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records

Announces USA headlining tour with Wolvhammer; launches official YouTube channel with director’s cut and behind-the-scenes videos for “V”!

Metal Blade Records is proud to announce the worldwide signing of Brooklyn-based experimental metal outfit TOMBS! Blending bleak, post-punk minimalism with the ferocious attack of sludge and traditional black metal, TOMBS has established themselves as an act that’s as committed to consistency as it is to growth, developing smoothly (but never predictably) over the course of their career, and earning a multitude of accolades along the way (including “album of the year” from Decibel Magazine for 2011’s ‘Path Of Totality‘!). In addition to their acclaimed releases, TOMBS has also become revered for their captivating live shows, touring extensively with an array of artists such as Eyehategod, Pelican, Isis, Wolves In The Throne Room, The Secret, Ulcerate, and 1349, plus appearing at renowned festivals: Roskilde Festival in Denmark, Roadburn in The Netherlands, and Psycho California and Maryland Deathfest in the USA. Now, having joined Metal Blade’s roster, the quintet is poised to continue the momentum that’s been building since their formation in 2007.

TOMBS will begin writing their fourth full-length and Metal Blade Records debut after their USA headlining tour this fall. Kicking off November 7th, the trek also features Wolvhammer as support. See below for all upcoming dates!

TOMBS unterschreiben weltweiten Vertrag mit Metal Blade Records

Kündigen US-Headlinertour mit Wolvhammer an; starten offiziellen YouTube-Kanal mit Director’s Cut u Doku-Videos zu “V”!

Metal Blade Records verkünden mit Stolz, die experimentellen Metaller TOMBS aus Brooklyn unter Vertrag genommen zu haben! Die Band kombiniert trostlosen, minimalistischen Postpunk mit brutalem Sludge und traditionellem Black Metal, was sie zu einer beständigen wie stetig wachsenden Einheit gemacht hat. Im Laufe ihrer bisherigen Karriere waren sie nie vorhersehbar und machten sich um einige Ritterschläge verdient (etwa den Titel “Album des Jahres” im Decibel Magazine für die 2011er Scheibe ‘Path Of Totality‘!). Abgesehen von ihren gefeierten Alben sind TOMBS auch zu einer packenden Liveband avanciert und mit Künstlern wie Eyehategod, Pelican, Isis, Wolves In The Throne Room, The Secret, Ulcerate oder 1349 aufgetreten, nicht zu vergessen ihre Festival-Gigs beim Roskilde Festival in Dänemark, dem Roadburn in den Niederlanden, dem Psycho California und dem Maryland Deathfest in den USA. Jetzt auf Metal Blade will die Gruppe den Schwung voll ausnutzen, den sie seit ihrer Gründung 2007 genommen hat.
