Svartanatt have just released their third single, Secrets of the Earth from the bands upcoming self titled debut album to be released the 20th of May 2016 on The Sign Records. With the single the band releases the artwork for their upcoming album. Secrets of the Earth is recorded in the spring of 2015 at Slowbeat studio in Gävle by Jonas Strömberg and mixed by Konie Ehrencrona in Studio of Cobra. Members from Svartanatt have previously been seen in bands as the Scrags, John Duva and Beardfish.
Classic Rock Magazine said the following about first single Demon: “Straight outta Stockholm with a copy of the late 1960s concealed in their backpack, Svartanatt (it means ‘black night’, apparently) conjure up the early days of Rock with a track that’s three quarters garage and nine fifths psychedelia. It’s certainly much better than our grasp of basic math.”
I began my writing career in the year of 2012 due to my love for the metal community, and have since moved onto a second role as the Tech-Wiz of PoM - taking good care of our website. My favourite music genres are Progressive Metal in all its different shapes and Melodic Death Metal.
