MORBID ANGEL is to be considered one of the (if not the) most important Death Metal groups since the sub-genre’s formation. Massively influential both for their style and playing ability, they are undoubtedly legends of the style. They recorded legendary albums, influenced thousands of bands and still remain a strong and important force. We welcome the gods back again on Party.San Metal Open Air 2017.
“We Like to Call Ourselves Brutal Deathrash” … that is actually how DEMOLITION HAMMER’s vocalist/bassist, Steve Reynolds referred to the band’s music in an interview on the video series “Tales From the Pit”. The intention is clear and the end result is the confirmation. DEMOLITION HAMMER is back and we are glad to confirm the bands participation on Party.San Metal Open Air 2017. Be there or stay home crying!
If you are a Death Metal fan, you should thank POSSESSED for basically creating the genre of Death Metal. It has all the characteristics of a good death metal band, which includes fucking brutal guitar riffs, chaotic guitar solos, fast as hell drumming, and demonic vocals. It was 1985. Many fledgling bands were releasing their debut albums and Metal music kept growing and evolving. Releases such as Megadeth’s “Killing Is My Business” and Exodus’ “Bonded By Blood” were pushing the boundaries of Metal music. Out of all these amazing releases, the most legendary one, the one that revolutionized metal, was the most overlooked and underrated. “Seven Churches”. POSSESSED will play Party.San Metal Open Air 2017! Enough said!
VIGILANCE is a great Slovenian Black/Heavy Metal band that formed in 2010. The band released their debut full length, “Queen of the Midnight Fire”, in 2013, which came after an EP and a pair of demos. After releasing their second album “Hounds of Megiddo” in 2015 the band showed their version of the new wave of blackened Heavy Metal and convinced us totally. Check this band out!
German ATOMWINTER are without doubt one of the very good examples that German Death Metal is alive and kicking. Their latest record “Iron Flesh” features great old school Death Metal, stripped down to the absolute basics. In case you like early Bolt Thrower and the likes, you will definitely dig their material.
