Party.San Metal Open Air NEWS D / ENGL:: IMMOLATION, MEMORIAM, VIDARGÄNGR

Friends, Headbangers, Fistraisers:

We are herewith open the hunting season and we are firing from all cannons. Today we present you 3 new bookings and we are quite sure you´ll like them a lot.

Booking-News:

Chaotic grooves paved on asymmetric time signatures, unsettling harmonics, insane rhythms, menacing vocals; ah, IMMOLATION is back in town. It may not be surprising to say that out of a pick of ten or even a hundred bands otherwise tagged as death metal, Immolation would be the most audibly distinct from the bunch. IMMOLATION have been perpetually smoldering under a veil of hellish musicality, following their own intransigent, musical path. They are death metal legends and we are more than happy to welcome them back to Schlotheim.

MEMORIAM states: “MEMORIAM are an old-school death metal band and maintain the standards set by previous bands that the members have played with, focusing on the themes of death, loss and war. The band features the following members: Karl Willets (BOLT THROWER) Vocals, Frank Healy (BENEDICTION, CEREBRAL FIX) Bass, Scott Fairfax (CEREBRAL FIX) Guitar, Andy Whale (BOLT THROWER) Drums. Any questions!? We guess not!

VIDARGÄNGR from Leipzig/Germany is an untamable black metal force. A rancorous nihilistic ascension into a black sun vortex. Uncompromising furious black metal opening a maelstrom into other spheres of sense. The band will release their second album A World that has to be Opposed in late april!

When my old buddy Kenn Jensen asked me if I wanted to contribute to the new site he had created, then called powermetal.dk, I didn't hesitate. My love for metal music was and is great. I wrote my first review during the summer of 2004 (Moonspell's 'Antidote' album). In 2015, I took over the editor-in-chief role.
