Following the huge success of last year’s Mammothfest which took place in October 2016 and marked their biggest event to date, with larger venues and well known metal acts, Textures, Venom Inc and Conan leading the brigade that led to the victory and accolade of being almost a complete sell out and going on to earn them three festivals award nominations , including the UK Festival Awards in two categories, Best Metropolitan and Best Small Festival 2016 as well as the TBFM Best Independent Festival 2016. The winners are yet to be announced for TBFM so watch this space!

Mammothfest doesn’t leave us in the dark for long as they are thankfully back rearing their menacing head in 2017 and ready to make a massive impact (complete with a metal mammoth concept) and to fulfil a promise.

Unfortunately FEED THE RHINO had to cancel their performance at Mammothfest 2015 due to ill health. But now they are coming to Brighton as they said they would, to the delight of their South Coast fans on Saturday 1st April at The Green Door Store.

Feed The Rhino have been described as too multi-dimensional for the hardcore scene, way too gritty and willing to burn the rule book to ever be considered a metal band and far too inventive to ever be pigeonholed by punk. The band has a strong history of standing out from the crowd over the course of their short career.

Mammothfest director Stephen Dickson remarks…”We were very disappointed to learn FEED THE RHINO were unable to play but their management, agent and the band were clearly also just as disappointed as us and made very clear promises to recitfy the situation by returning as soon as possible. Health comes first so we were just glad to learn everyone was OK and so here we are, honored to welcome them to Brighton for what is going to be an incredible show with also a stunning line up of support acts from across the UK that will make this a show to remember!”

This event will be an all-day show with ten bands supporting Feed The Rhino, including plenty of acts that have graced Mammothfest in the past. The line-up will be incredibly diverse as the likes of Magna Carta and Seething Akira provide the party metal vibes, delivering a brand of metal and electronica and an incredibly fun atmosphere.

Other festival alumni includes Worthing’s Bleed Again, who was one of the highlights of Mammothfest 2016. With a new album due in May, we expect another wild set from them. Core of Io will be on the bill to unleash a level of technicality to blow your mind. The Five Hundred kicked off Mammothfest 2016 with a monstrous attitude and the Nottingham lads return to Brighton to get brutal with us once again.

Brighton’s Hawka haven’t played the festival before, but this is a great opportunity to show off their ferocious nature which is influenced heavily by the likes of Lamb of God and other NWOAHM style acts. Kickfist delivers a style of industrial nu-metal, think SOiL grooves with eerie Rob Zombie quirkiness.

To add another dynamic, As Flames Rise bring a savage atmosphere to the table with their melodic metalcore influence. PussyLiquour is an all girl punk band set to unleash pure uncensored female rage. End of salvation then comes with a whole new meaning of heavy, being one of the angriest sounding bands on the whole line-up.

You don’t want to miss this immense show, so come down, have a blast and help the mammoth thrive!
