During the 80s, a documentary on Denmark’s national television told the story about a small fishing community, Agger, on the Danish west coast, where a group of young folk lived and breathed for heavy metal. They were different, they were rebels who dared to be different in a community where deep Christian faith was the order, and they made a lasting impression on a lot of people around the country.
More than 30 years later, this group of heavy metal devotees are still just that: adamant fans of hard music. Over the years, some of them have not only played metal music themselves, they have also arranged concerts and the small Heavy Agger festival. This year, the festival at the rim of the world takes place on the 6th and 7th of May.
The programme for the two days looks like this:
Friday:
19:00 Crocell
20:45 Turbo Charged
22:30 Illdisposed
Saturday:
12 – 14 “Happy Awwer” Heavy Agger beers at 10 Danish crowns
