About:
Dead Ranch is a crushing and catchy loud noisy four piece from Winnipeg, Canada, where anything interesting is 8 hours away. Isolated in their winter city, this quartet started playing local shows in late 2011 to early 2012, which quickly turned into an Eastern Canadian tour by the summer of 2012. This helped them promote their first recordings “Birds of Pray”. A modest basement recorded EP that got them attention on local university radio stations. In early 2013, they recorded their debut full length “Antler Royal” with renowned engineer, Jesse Gander (Japandroids, Anciients) at the Hive Creative Labs in Burnaby, B.C. and signed to legendary Winnipeg based record label No List Records for its release. “Antler Royal” gained notoriety both nationally and internationally, reaching number one on Canada’s Earshot Top 20 Loud Charts and remained in the top five for months. They toured Canada in support of the album steadily throughout 2013 and 2014 plus they have shared the stage with such acts as Bison B.C., KEN mode, Weedeater, The Great Sabatini, and Jucifer to name a few. They’re currently gearing up to release their second full length album titled “Brumation” and are planning extensive tours including Europe for 2016.
