BLOODCLOT launches lyric video for new single, ‘Up In Arms’, via Noisey.Vice.com

Set to perform at ‘The Power of the Riff’ festival in Los Angeles on December 17th!

BLOODCLOT – featuring true hardcore pioneers John Joseph (Cro-Mags), Joey Castillo (ex-Queens of the Stone Age), Nick Oliveri (ex-Queens of the Stone Age), Todd Youth (Danzig) – has launched their first single: the title track from their upcoming album, ‘Up In Arms‘. John Joseph (vocals) comments: “‘Up in Arms’ is a call to arms for the people of America and across the globe who are sick of the lies, death and destruction of innocent people being caused by the military industrial complex who run governments and propagate unjust wars in order to fill the bank accounts of corrupt businessmen.“

Todd Youth (guitars) adds: “If you take a look at what is going on right now in the world, corrupt politicians, war, famine, destruction of the planet by the animal agriculture industry – things have got to change before it’s too late. Musically I wanted to write something that gave me the feeling I had the first time that I heard Discharge, Motorhead or the Bad Brains – a relentless wall of sound that makes you think!!“

As previously announced, BLOODCLOT plans to release their upcoming full-length, ‘Up In Arms‘, in spring 2017 via Metal Blade Records. Southern California fans have a chance to hear this new material early on December 17th at “The Power of the Riff” festival, where the group will be performing together for the first time, alongside Wolves in the Throne Room, Incantation, Pelican, and more. BLOODCLOT – die Band von HC-Pionier John Joseph (Cro-Mags), Joey Castillo (ex-Queens of the Stone Age), Nick Oliveri (ex-Queens of the Stone Age) und Todd Youth (Danzig) – hat ihre erste Single veröffentlicht, den Titelsong ihres kommenden Albums ‘Up In Arms‘. John Joseph (Vocals) bemerkt dazu: “‘Up in Arms’ ist eine Aufforderung zum Kampf für die Bürger Amerikas und der ganzen Welt, die all die Lügen leid sind, den Tod und die Zerstörung unschuldigen Lebens aufgrund von Militär und Industrie, die hinter den Regierungen stecken und ungerechte Kriege rechtfertigen, um korrupten Geschäftsleuten die Taschen vollzumachen.“

Todd Youth (guitars) ergänzt: “Hält man sich die aktuelle Situation vor Augen – korrupte Politiker, Krieg, Hungersnot und das Herabwirtschaften des Planeten durch die Fleisch- bzw. Tierverarbeitungsindustrie -, erkennt man, dass sich etwas ändern muss, sonst ist es bald zu spät. Musikalisch wollte ich das Gefühl bei dem Stück vermitteln, das ich hatte, als ich zum ersten Mal Discharge, Motorhead oder Bad Brains hörte: erbarmungslose Soundwände, die dennoch zum Nachdenken anregen!!“

Wie angekündigt planen BLOODCLOT, ‘Up In Arms‘ im Frühling 2017 via Metal Blade Records herauszubringen.
