On September 23rd, melodic death metal outfit ALLEGAEON will be releasing their fourth full-length, ‘Proponent for Sentience‘, via Metal Blade Records. Today, the band has launched a full band play-through for the new album track, ‘Subdivisions’ – an epic cover version of the Rush classic! Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation) hat Proponent for Sentience produziert, ein musikalisch komplexes, intelligentes und forderndes Konzeptalbum, das unter den ganz großen dieses Formats bestehen kann. Die Texte sind im Science-Fiction-Bereich verortet, aber unangenehm realitätsnah. Mit dieser Scheibe zeigt sich die Gruppe aus Fort Collins in Colorado so ehrgeizig und souverän wie nie, wobei sie die Grenzen des Möglichen noch weiter auslotet als auf ihren drei früheren Alben, die allesamt von der Kritik gefeiert wurden.
