ACCUSER are releasing new album ‘The Forlorn Divide’ March, 11th!

On the 11th of March Geman Thrashers ACCUSER will release their new album ‘The Forlorn Divide‘ via Metal Blade Records, it’s the first album for their new label Metal Blade Records.

From 1986 to 1996, ACCUSER are a mainstay within the national and international metal scenes. Especially albums such as ‘Who Dominates Who‘ (1989) or ‘Repent‘ (1992) are an impressive display of the Siegen, Germany-based group’s technical and compositional abilities.

Musically ACCUSER find their own niche somewhere between Bay Area Thrash Metal and the German sound of bands such as Kreator or Destruction. Collaborations with Alex Perialas (producer of Testament, Anthrax, etc.) or German Industrial pioneers Die Krupps speak for themselves.

The band plays countless tours and concerts, e.g. with Motörhead, Paradise Lost and Overkill. In this way, they earn a great standing and become a reliable force known for their energetic, breathtaking live shows.

After several line-up changes, the band eventually splits up in 1996. That is, until 2008: ACCUSER have returned. Although they have never truly been gone, to be exact. Under the name of Scartribe, they have been writing songs all the time and played countless concerts.

By the end of 2008, the band returns to their familiar name and has been firing on all cylinders ever since. In May 2010, ‘Agitation‘ is released, an album featuring all their trademarks. Classical Thrash tiffs, melodic leads and nifty soli fall together with Frank Thoms’ inimitable voice and soulful lyrics about social issues.

The band has already been working on new material since 2013. The addition of new guitarist Dennis Rybakowski, the re-recorded version of their classic ‘Who Dominates Who‘ to celebrate their 25th birthday in 2013 and several very successful festival shows were whiffs of fresh air for the group. Quickly, it became apparent that the new stuff was going to be more progressive and complex, so the band took their time in order to work meticulously with a focus on detail. Slowly but steadily, ‘The Forlorn Divide‘ took shape in their tried-and-tested Gernhart Studio. It contains everything you know and love about ACCUSER: involved, powerful thrash metal with virtuoso guitar work, thought-out drum patterns and last but not least aggressive, at times desperate vocals, perfectly highlighting the dark recesses of human psyche that are described in the lyrics.

Am 11. März werden die Siegener Thrasher von ACCUSER ihr neues Album ‘The Forlorn Divide‘ veröffentlichen. Es ist ihr erstes Album für ihren neuen Vertragspartner Metal Blade Records.

ACCUSER haben soeben die landing page zu ihrem neuen Album gelauncht, auf welcher ihr euch exklusiv den neuen Song ‘Tribulation‘ anhören könnt. Von 1986 bis 1996 sind ACCUSER Teil der nationalen und internationalen Metal Szene. Vor allem Alben wie “Who Dominates Who” (1989) oder “Repent” (1992) zeigen eindrucksvoll die technischen und kompositorischen Fähigkeiten der Band aus Siegen.

Musikalisch schaffen sich ACCUSER eine eigene Nische irgendwo zwischen Bay Area Thrash Metal und dem Sound deutscher Vertreter wie Kreator oder Destruction. Kooperationen mit u.a. Alex Perialas (produzierte auch Bands wie Testament oder Anthrax) oder den deutschen Industrial-Pionieren Die Krupps, sprechen eine deutliche Sprache.

ACCUSER spielen zahlreiche Konzerte und Tourneen, unter anderem mit Motörhead, Paradise Lost und Overkill. So kann sich die Band einen hervorragenden Ruf erarbeiten und ist ein Garant für energiegeladene, schweißtreibende Liveshows.

Mit den Alben “Reflections” (1994) und “Taken by the Throat” (1995) ändert sich die musikalische Ausrichtung. Der Sound der Band wird zunehmend aggressiver und groovebetonter.

Nach einigen Besetzungswechseln kommt es letztlich 1996 zum Split. Bis 2008: ACCUSER sind wieder da. Obwohl sie genau genommen nie wirklich weg waren. Unter dem Namen “Scartribe” wurden ständig Songs geschrieben und zahlreiche Konzerte gespielt.

Die Rückkehr zum bewährten Namen erfolgt Ende 2008, und seitdem stehen die Zeichen auf Sturm. Im Mai 2010 erscheint das Album “Agitation“, das alle Trademarks der Band beinhaltet. Klassische Thrash Riffs, melodische Leads und virtuose Soli treffen auf den nach wie vor markanten Gesang von Frank Thoms, der sich seine Wut über soziale Missstände von der Seele singt.

Bereits seit 2013 arbeitet die Band wieder an neuem Material. Der Einstieg des neuen Gitarristen Dennis Rybakowski, die neu eingespielte Version des Klassikers “Who Dominates Who” zum 25-jährigen Bandjubiläum 2013 und diverse sehr erfolgreiche Festivalshows bringen frischen Wind in das Bandgefüge. Schnell wird die progressivere und komplexere Ausrichtung der neuen Songs deutlich, und die Band gönnt sich die Zeit, sehr genau und detailverliebt zu arbeiten. Im bewährten Gernhart Studio nimmt “The Forlorn Divide” langsam aber sicher Gestalt an und beinhaltet nun alles, was man an ACCUSER kennt und schätzt. Komplexer, kraftvoller Thrash Metal mit virtuoser Gitarrenarbeit, ausgefeilten Drums und nicht zuletzt aggressive, bisweilen verzweifelte Vocals, welche die in den Texten beschriebenen Abgründe der menschlichen Psyche sehr gut abbilden.
