Formed in 2005, Abnormality drew its members from the ranks of units such as Teratism, Forced Asphyxiation, Goratory and Sexcrement, and they have worked patiently and persistently to build up a grassroots following, maintaining their integrity while steadily expanding beyond their local scene. In 2010, they dropped their debut EP, The Collective Calm In Mortal Oblivion, which immediately drew attention in the underground, followed by the crushing and critically acclaimed full-length, Contaminating The Hive Mind (2012), cementing their status as one of the heaviest and most dynamic bands in the genre. Now, with their upcoming sophomore effort, Mechanisms of Omniscience – produced once again by Peter Rutcho, and featuring artwork by vocalist Mallika Sundaramurthy – the quintet have never been more serious about getting their message out there, as well as ensuring legions of the moshing masses incur whiplash. ABNORMALITY entstand 2005 aus Mitgliedern von Teratism, Forced Asphyxiation, Goratory und Sexcrement. Sie hat sich beständig Fans erspielt und ihre Integrität bewahrt, ohne in ihrer Entwicklung stillzustehen. Als ursprüngliches Nebenprojekt von Sundaramurthy, Blaisdell und Gitarrist Jeremy Henry wollte die Gruppe hochwertige, technische Musik spielen, wobei der Wunsch aufkam, sich vor Publikum zu präsentieren. 2010 erschien die EP The Collective Calm In Mortal Oblivion, die sofort im Underground von sich reden macht, ehe das gefeierte, derb fetzende Debütalbum Contaminating The Hive Mind 2012 herauskam und ihren Status festigte, eine der heaviesten, dynamischsten Bands des Genres zu sein. When my old buddy Kenn Jensen asked me if I wanted to contribute to the new site he had created, then called powermetal.dk, I didn't hesitate. My love for metal music was and is great. I wrote my first review during the summer of 2004 (Moonspell's 'Antidote' album). In 2015, I took over the editor-in-chief role.
