Guitarist ANDREAS \u0160ALA Releases Play-Through Video for New Song \u201cHue\u201d<\/b>

Andreas \u0160ala<\/b>, guitarist and composer who plays with bands Subscale<\/b>, The Ralph<\/b> and If And When We Die<\/b>, released a play-through video for the song \u201cHue\u201d taken from his upcoming solo album Pleasure Dome<\/i>. Watch the video on YouTube<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Asked about the inspiration for the new song and the album overall, \u0160ala<\/b> who plays Wreck Guitars<\/b>\u2019 BlueMorpho 6 in the video, said: \u201cWell I wanted to make a solo record for quite some time now but I just couldn’t decide in which direction I want to take it. But when I got my hands on the BlueMorpho melodies just started to pour out of me and I knew what I had to do. I felt like a kid again.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n
Pleasure Dome<\/i><\/b> differs from the albums he releases with Subscale<\/b><\/a> and The Ralph<\/b><\/a> in that is more ambient and minimalistic. \u201cI wanted to do something a bit different. For the past 5 years I was composing mostly metal for The Ralph so I wanted to take a step back. I’m a huge <\/i>Joe Satriani<\/i><\/b> fan (and 80’s\/90’s instrumental music fan in general) and I always liked “bigger than life” melodies so it seemed\u00a0 like a logical step to make a guitar driven instrumental album,<\/i>\u201d Andreas<\/b> continues.<\/p>\n
As mentioned, Andreas uses Wreck Guitars<\/b>\u2019 6-string model BlueMorpho. \u201cI was going for a blend of a old-school \u201980s lead sound and modern rock\/metal sound. I record everything digitally so I have more room to manipulate the sound later on in the mixing process. The guitar goes straight into my audio interface (an old-school <\/i>E-MU 0404<\/i><\/b> USB) with nothing in between. I use mostly <\/i>Ignite Amps<\/i><\/b> products \u2014 <\/i>Emissary<\/i><\/b> for the amp simulation and <\/i>NadIR<\/i><\/b> for loading the cab impulses. For the cab impulses I use mostly <\/i>Catharsis<\/i><\/b>‘ IRs. BlueMorpho is loaded with <\/i>Dolezal<\/i><\/b> pickups which are pretty hot and punchy which was great for tracking rhythm guitars.<\/i>\u201d<\/p>\n
