For people who don&#8217;t know the band, they feel negatively and assume they are about racial superiority and violence. However, those who know Hatebreed, know they can be one of the most positive and uplifting bands of any genre. Their positivity has been kicking audience&#8217;s asses since 1994. Hatebreed&#8217;s seventh and latest album, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Concrete Confessional, <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">released through Nuclear Blast worldwide May 13, 2016, is another heavy helping of that positivity. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, when I say positivity, I mean it in the Hatebreed sense. It is more of a pissed off, amped up, against oppression, against corruption, self-motivational, \u201cYou can&#8217;t keep me down,\u201d and \u201cI&#8217;ll show you who I am, and what I can be\u201d no whiners type of positivity. Many songs on <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Concrete Confessional <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">embody this positivity, but none more so than \u201cLooking Down the Barrel of Today.\u201d This the quintessential Hatebreed jam. \u201cSeven Enemies\u201d expresses a more aggressive form of empathy, and gives new meaning to the saying \u201cwalk a mile in my shoes.\u201d \u201cSomething&#8217;s Off\u201d perfectly encompasses the anxiety that most of us feel from day to day. Oh, and the anti-oppression\/anti-corruption stuff I mentioned earlier, they touch on that in \u201cFalling From Grace,\u201d and \u201cThe Apex Within.\u201d \u201cA.D.\u201d speaks to the loss of the American dream, and. \u201cUs Against Us\u201d and \u201cIn the Walls\u201d hits on more of the endless corruption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"HATEBREED - The first 4 songs on &quot;The Concrete Confessional&quot; (TRACK BY TRACKS #1)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/k8MS5gViY1Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I wrote in my interview with drummer Matt Byrne, Chris \u201cZuess\u201d Harris produced the album and helped the band sound as good, if not better than ever. Not only is this one of the heaviest Hatebreed albums to date, it is also one of the best sounding. Plus, with 13 tracks, each no more than three minutes long, it is really easy to play on repeat all day long. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is not a ground breaking, experimental, moving in a different direction album for Hatebreed. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Concrete Confessional <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">gives us everything we want in a Hatebreed album: hard \u00a0riffs, heavy grooves, powerful lyrics, and crowd choruses galore, all meant to be played at 11.
