Vocalist Danny Estrin comments on the video: “We wished to continue having Australian landscapes as a feature point in our music videos following on from the epic music video for ‘Brightstar’. So, to incorporate more of a cityscape vibe for this dark, yet uplifting synth number inspired by Steve Winwood, ‘Colours’ was intended to demonstrate that we are all colours in the sun, and that we as a band are progressing on our onward journey to the next release, as can be visualised in the video”

VOYAGER have furthermore revealed the artwork and track-list of ‘Colours in the Sun’, which can be viewed below.
Vocalist Danny Estrin comments on the album: “Colours in the Sun is the most transcendent, layered, and effervescent album we have written and recorded. It’s poppy, but still holds weight with crunchy, powerful riffs. It’s a true reflection of Voyager – five individuals from different roots coming together and creating a unique sound under the Australian sun.”

Destined for longevity and worldwide success, Perth based quintet VOYAGER recently signed their first worldwide recording contract with Season of Mist following the release of their 6th opus Ghost Mile. Ghost Mile saw dedicated fans contribute to the band’s Pledge Music campaign in 2017, reaching the band’s goal in just a little over a week.
If there is one word to describe VOYAGER’s most current form, it is colourful. After years of evolution and amassing worldwide influences that mold the Perth quintet’s unique sound, VOYAGER have truly come into their own in recent years, crafting a path of success both on and off stage. The genre-transfiguring act blend new-romantic and 80’s infused vocals, keytar solos, technical yet melodic fretwork, groovy bass and bombastic drumming efforts. All of which make VOYAGER the pop/prog/power/rock/metal force that they are renowned as today.
Having toured the world a few times over and having shared the stage with names such as DEFTONES, LEPROUS, NIGHTWISH, COHEED and CAMBRIA, as well as headlining a number of festivals including opening the main stage at Download Festival Australia 2019, Voyager are back with a taste of what’s to come. The band’s versatile sound sees them complement a multiplicity of line-ups, and attract the love and attention of a wide demographic of fans!
In a bid to resonate with audiences all around the world, frontman Danny Estrin explains that “Colours in the Sun” is a musical depiction of a personal journey to an adopted country. “We are the colours in the sun” says Voyager, who are celebrating Australia’s vast and varied beauty with their new album.

In March 2019, Voyager revealed a statement video single ‘Brightstar’ in the lead up to their main stage Download Festival Australia performance.
‘Brightstar’ builds from an 80’s inspired synth based intro to a stratospheric new-romantic chorus, enlightening fans with melodies and harmonies that build up to the track’s apex that is out of this world.

‘Brightstar’ features on the forthcoming album. Details to be announced soon.
Directed by Red Empire Media, Voyager’s Perth-fect music video encompasses the quintessential nature of Western Australia, displaying the relationship between science, art, and nature. With a montage of drone footage taken from Parkes, CSIRO and MRO Space Satellite sites across Western Australia, Voyager explores the synergy of how science and creative expression go hand in hand.

“We’re coming back to give Europe a taste of what’s to come for our new album. Just a taste though. Two London performances in two nights? Challenge accepted. Returning to two of our favorite festivals? Accepted. And just how could we turn down performing alongside Anathema at the prestigious Indigo2 where the Metal Hammer Golden Gods have been held? Well, the answer is that we couldn’t – so we’ll be seeing you all very soon for a special run of intimate shows in the UK to prepare everyone for our new album. It’s going to be colorful.”

VOYAGER – “Brightstar”
VOYAGER will be touring in support of their brand new single “Brightstar” which is streaming, in the form of a music video, here!
Vocalist Daniel Estrin comments:
“‘Brightstar’ is about the power of rationality, of the importance of science as an art, of facts, of the demise of empirical evidence in favor of blind belief in idols who spit forth a torrent of nonsense and generally about not believing in something or someone because it’s shiny and bright and promises a warm blanket of comfort. It’s so refreshing to be playing in such wide open spaces and to use technology to create art. There was definitely something magical about the beauty of this blisteringly hot part of the country and I think this clip will capture that magic. We are proud to be from Perth and we want our fans to see what we see. We also want them to know that we almost burnt to a crisp on 40c heat to bring them this visual treat!”
VOYAGER are set to release a new full length album later this year, via Season of Mist.
“Australian pop sensibility with modern progressive heaviness – this is the cult force that is VOYAGER.
With 6 full-length albums under their belt and shows throughout North America, Europe and Asia with the likes of DEFTONES, OPETH, DEVIN TOWNSEND, CHILDREN OF BODOM, SOILWORK, NIGHTWISH, EPICA and ORPHANED LAND, the five-piece from Perth is now firmly entrenched in its international repute as “the band who doesn’t sound like anyone else”.
VOYAGER’S sensationally anthemic songs offer huge soundscapes, pop and prog sensibilities with catchy and thought-inducing instrumentals. With concerts described as “amazing chemistry blending pop with heavy, technical and progressive riffs”, VOYAGER are consistently a live force to be reckoned with.

“When it’s 40°C with nary a cloud or some shade in sight, you’ve been rolling around in red dirt, and you’ve played the same song 100 times over to get that perfect take, there’s bound to be a bit of silliness behind the scenes!”
“It’s a lot of fun to give you a bit of an insight into our admittedly chaotic creative process, and to relive what a unique experience shooting our video for Brightstar was.”
