David Reece comments
“I wanted to create something different with this video. Back to more of a short movie type of thing. Being it was one of the first songs written for the album I’ve always felt it’s needed to be seen visually along with the sonics. Valerio Fea was the director I found him through Fiorella Scatena who’s Andrea Vergori our keyboard players love. Valerio was great capturing my vision for the song in my head. The original model flaked on day of shooting so I made my first choice who was my lovely wife Nadia to step in (hopefully I’m safe with her and Knives now?) Lena Angioni added her talents with Malte Frederik Burkert, Martin Jepsen Andersen and Marco Angioni in the black and white footage. I’m very pleased with the songs response it seems to be a fan and media favorite so enjoy people and stay Resilient!”

]]>U.D.O. – „Steelfactory“ out now!
The German metal tank and his fellow soldiers release their bulldozing new album „Steelfactory“. The record marks one of U.D.O.‘s most powerful albums to date and is highly anticipated by many metal fans all over the globe. „Steelfactory“ is available as Ltd. Boxset, Vinyl (in exclusive colors), CD, Digipak, Download & Stream. After 3 years touring with Dirkschneider playing and honoring Accept songs live with his other project DIRKSCHNEIDER, that did make a huge impact on the songwriting for “Steelfactoy”!
The songs on the album are clearly influenced by the past DIRKSCHNEIDER shows – the simple straightness of the anthem-like songs make it a timeless record.
With its earthy handmade sound – with the help of Danish producer Jacob Hanson (e.g. Volbeat) – „Steelfactory“ catches the spirit of the age perfectly.
After releasing the 3 singles “Rising High”, “One Heart One Soul” and “Make the Move”, now it’s time for this great album to see the light of day.

Check out and bang your head!
]]>On August 31st 2018 the new album “Steelfactory” will be released worldwide.
Check out the first single “Rising High”!
With “Steelfactory” U.D.O return to their core competence, clearly influenced by their past shows with DIRKSCHNEIDER, the songs in their rousingly simple straightness have a hymn character, as it is only known from the past.”Steelfactory” has become a timeless metal album and thus the impressive statement of a master of his craft.
With its earthy, punchy and handmade sound – with the participation of the Danish producer Jacob Hansen (among others Volbeat) – “Steelfactory” meets the nerve of the time, which may be triggered again since the successful DIRKSCHNEIDER tour worldwide.

But everything comes to an end. But don’t worry, Dirkschneider is not going to call it quits just yet, at least not completely. His first chapter in music, aka his “Accept” chapter is about to be closed though, and who can blame him? Dirkschneider-era Accept put out a lot of beloved classics which Dirkschneider is more than willing to admit, but UDO has been going for so long that Dirkschneider obviously identifies more with UDO than with Accept these days. And that is the point where the live album “Back To The Roots” comes into play. It is a recording of Dirkschneider’s current tour that focuses entirely on his time in Accept. The plan is for Dirkschneider to never play an Accept song again after this tour which is regrettable for the fans, but not really a surprising decision for an artist. But will he really never play an Accept song again? Time will tell, but we better get used to the idea.
Now, as for the album, what can you accept? Pretty much any Dirkschneider-era Accept classic there is! You get ‘Balls To The Walls’, ‘Midnight Mover’, ‘Metal Heart’, you get pretty much everything which also explains the length of the album. Therefore it is also redundant to describe the songs, because you likely know them anyway. And those who do not: Think REALLY Old School Metal! Unfortunately there is also a downside to this album. The live feeling is absolutely there, but it is not as intense as one would hope. It is still a very strong album, but it is not as energetic as it could be. But then, maybe that is why Dirkschneider wants to put this chapter of his life to rest so that he can move forward with dignity? Fans will still love it and those who are only slightly acquainted with Dirkschneider-era Accept might also want to think about the album, because it is pretty much a “best of” album.
Anyway, what about the rating? 9 devils! It might lack that final punch to justify a 10 devil rating, but anything below 9 devils would not do the album justice either.
