The legendary band Thin Lizzy, universal icons of hard rock, with influences of blues, Celtic rock and traditional Irish music, will be one of the headliners of the Leyendas del Rock Festival, to celebrate on days 7, 8, 9 and 10 August in Villena, Alicante (Spain). The performance will be part of the celebration of its 50th anniversary and, for now, the only presence in the entire European continent.
The Boys Are Back In Town, Jailbreak, Whiskey In The Jar or Cowboy Song are compositions with a scent of Dublin and with the strength and credibility that life gives in those streets that saw the growth of the remembered Phil Lynott, who left for posterity a legacy full of hymns and an overwhelming personality that made Thin Lizzy one of the bands most admired by some of the big groups of today, such as Iron Maiden, Metallica or Megadeth.
Scott Gorham, guitar and leader of the formation at present, will be accompanied by a very powerful band: Darren Wharton, keyboards; Ricky Warwick, former leader of The Almighty, on vocals; Scott Travis, in Judas Priest since 1989, on drums; and Damon Johnson on bass. The most solvent line up to play in concert those great compositions full of melancholy and old flavor that Phil Lynott, Eric Bell, Gary Moore, Brian Downey, Brian Robertson and John Sykes, among other great musicians, left chiselled in their day.
