Athens, Greece alternative metal rockers SiXforNinE will release their upcoming sophomore full-length album entitled Parallel Universe on August 2, 2019 via Eclipse Records. The album was produced by singer Fotis Benardo, mixed by Paul Pavao (Disturbed, Stone Temple Pilots, Breaking Benjamin), and mastered by Tom Baker (Rob Zombie, Nine Inch Nails, Motley Crue). The album artwork was designed by Vagelis Petikas at Revolver Design. See below for the full track listing…

Parallel Universe contains nine high-energy active rock anthems and the album is primed to be unleashed upon the world like a highly contagious virus! From the very first single “Bullet Off Its Course”, one can see how this seize-the-day anthem of positivity could easily push this band towards the top of the international modern rock scene! Other highlights include “Counting Stars” which is about galactic travel via astral projection, and “Sea of Lies” which tells the story of a refugee hoping for a better future.

The band have also revealed the first music video from the album for the first single “Bullet Off Its Course”. The video was directed by John Nikolopoulos and shot on location on the runway of the historic international airport in Athens, Greece. Watch it right now at this location.

“Bullet Off Its Course is about being strong enough to move on after betrayal by someone close to you” says guitarist George Kappa. “We did a shoot in this huge hangar which symbolizes betrayal and the place you go to recover. Then we did a second shoot on the runway to symbolize freedom and power.” Lead vocalist Fotis Benardo continues, “George’s grandfather use to work there as a head flight engineer and he used to take George inside the hangars when he was a child. While the airport is now abandoned, it was still very difficult to get permission to shoot the video there. George called everyone his grandfather knew, but in the end our director John got the clearance from the government and we had the whole day to shoot!”

Pre-order the album on iTunes, Amazon, or Google Play, and stream the singles via Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Pandora, iHeartRadio, YouTube, and more here.

SEPTICFLESH’s unique blend of symphonic arrangements, avant garde elements, atmosphere and eviscerating extreme metal has been converting legions into fans since the 90s. Now, with a streak of modern classic albums under their belt such as “Sumerian Daemons” (2002), “Communion” (2008), “The Great Mass” (2011), “Titan” (2014), and now “Codex Omega” (2017) there seems to be no stopping this creative juggernaut.

SEPTICFLESH’s latest album »Codex Omega« is the first to feature former DECAPITATED drummer Kerim “Krimh” Lechner. Months of hard work and experimentation crafted the album, and resulted in 10 compositions of dark sonic bliss. Lyrically and musically, »Codex Omega« is by far the most infernal release of SEPTICFLESH to date. The album was produced by highly acclaimed metal producer, Jens Bogren (OPETH, AMON AMARTH, KREATOR).

Besides the orchestral side represented once again by the Filmharmonic Orchestra of Prague, the band utilised traditional instruments such as Oud and Duduk and also a 12 string electro-acoustic guitar, enhancing the mystical atmosphere of the compositions. Of course as always, »Codex Omega« is dominated by the relentless death guitar riffing and the pale melodies that are the trademark of SEPTICFLESH.

SEPTICFLESH is:

Seth (brutal vocals, bass)

Christos Antoniou (guitars, orchestral)

Sotiris V. (guitars, clean vocals)

Kerim “Krimh” Lechner (drums)

There are certain cycles in the rise and fall of bands that form a discernible pattern. One of the stations in this process is the break-though, when a group rises from the murky underground into the sphere of heightened mainstream attention. In the case of WATAIN for example, this transition can be pinpointed to a specific album, ‘Lawless Darkness’ (2010). It may seem a rather daring to attribute such a moment to INQUISITION’s forthcoming seventh full-length ‘Bloodshed Across The Empyrean Altar Beyond The Celestial Zenith’ in advance. Yet even with the first spin of this record, any doubt and thought of hyperbole should disappear. The American black metal duo has obviously reached a level of confidence, maturity, and mastery of song writing, technical execution as well as strength of production that this masterpiece will mark a milestone in a career that has already gathered momentum. While INQUISITION have so far grown without full attention paid by the metal mainstream, they have nevertheless amassed a huge underground following. Such a pivotal shift always comes with a risk. The most loyal adherents might be antagonised if a band strays too far from course in their attempt to reach for the stars. There is no danger for this to happen with ‘Bloodshed…’. Notable changes from the highly praised ‘Obscure Verses For The Multiverse’ (2013) are rather gradual than revolutionary, but still prove decisive. Dagon has slightly lowered his vocal pitch, which sounds less amphibian and the fiercer sound of his voice leaves a stronger impact. INQUISITION’s song writing has been tightened and appears more focused without losing the trademark epic majesty. Each track hits its mark, there are no fillers. This album represents the culmination and peak of a long term gradual evolution. INQUISITION hail from the US city of Seattle, Washington although originally formed by Dagon in the South American state of Colombia in 1989. Three demos were released during this early thrash metal period, before the frontman moved back to the United States in 1996. There Dagon was joined by drummer Incubus in 1997. Their debut full-length ‘Into The Infernal Regions Of The Ancient Cult’ (1998) immediately created a buzz in the netherworld of the black metal genre. Their impact on the scene deepened with each of the following four albums and the duo’s much sought after back catalogue has meanwhile been reissued by Season of Mist in its entirety.  With ‘Bloodshed Across The Empyrean Altar Beyond The Celestial Zenith’, INQUISITION are about to conquer the world. Resistance is futile.
