They followed up with their second outing, the critically acclaimed ‘Gods Of War’ in 2015 which showed remarkable growth in their songwriting and musicianship within the band garnering again high praise from fans and critics alike. Vocalist Scott Oliva joined the band after the exit of current Riot V vocalist Todd Michael Hall in early 2016 and began writing for a new album. In early 2017 the band tragically lost guitarist Pete Rossi and decided to dedicate their next release, the long-running and dark-toned EP entitled ‘Foreverence’ in 2017 with new guitarist, former Metal Church live and FireWolfe guitarist Paul Kleff, the EP gave the band the opportunity to honor their fallen brother while giving themselves time to grieve. While they continue to write for their next studio album due in 2019, they thought it was time to showcase their incredible electric live performances.

]]>Today, Australian metal masters Parkway Drive unleash a new song and video for “Prey”. The track is from the band’s sixth studio album, Reverence, out May 4 on Epitaph.
In the vital and volatile “Prey”, Parkway Drive channel their furious energy into thrashing rhythms and ferocious vocal work while delivering deeply infectious melodies. “Prey” is a gang-vocal-driven anthem that unfolds in both punishing riffs and intricate guitar lines.
Watch the epic performance video for “Prey” now: https://youtu.be/WL_8ZY89dP4
Reverence is the band’s most sonically adventurous album and the most personal from the Byron Bay group. With its barrage of heart-shredding anthems, the album was closely informed by a series of tragedies the band had endured over the past few years, including the untimely loss of two loved ones. “We took stock of what we had and realized what actually mattered. What we went through was horrendous,” says frontman Winston McCall.
“I hope Reverence is the kind of album that redefines what people expect of us, in the sense that you can now expect the unexpected. This time around we’ve taken more risks, and I don’t think we’ve ever sounded more interesting,” says McCall.
Produced by longtime Parkway Drive sound engineer George Hadjichristou, Reverence arrives as the follow-up to 2015’s IRE—Parkway Drive’s most hugely successful album to date and a major force in boosting their ever-growing worldwide following. In addition to broadening the band’s sonic palette, Reverence offers up some of Parkway Drive’s most devastating songs yet.
1. Wishing Wells
2. Prey
3. Absolute Power
4. Cemetery Bloom
5. The Void
6. I Hope You Rot
7. Shadow Boxing
8. In Blood
9. Chronos
10. The Colour Of Leaving
Along with McCall, Parkway Drive features guitarists Luke Kilpatrick and Jeff Ling, bassist Jia O’Connor, and drummer Ben Gordon. Formed in Byron Bay in 2002, the band has released five studio albums, all on Epitaph: Killing with a Smile (2005), Horizons (2007), Deep Blue (2010), Atlas (2012), and IRE (2015). With all five albums certified gold in Australia, Parkway Drive have also released two platinum-selling DVDs (2012’s Home is for the Heartless and 2009’s Parkway Drive: The DVD).
Globally praised for their powerful live show, Parkway Drive will return to Europe and United Kingdom this Summer to play some of the biggest festivals on the continent, as well as a handful of headlining shows. Please see below for full details.

Epitaph Records is pleased to announce the upcoming release of Reverence, the sixth studio album from Australian metal band Parkway Drive. Due out May 4, Reverence is the most sonically adventurous and emotionally intense effort yet from the Byron Bay-based five-piece.
“Reverence represents the most honest and personal record we have ever created,” says Parkway Drive frontman Winston McCall. “It has been born through pain, sacrifice, and conviction, with the ultimate goal of expanding not only what Parkway Drive stand for musically, but who we are as people. Thank you for listening.”
Today marks the premiere of “The Void,” one of the many heart-shredding anthems featured on Reverence. Directed by Allan Hardy, the video fully channels the furious energy of “The Void,” a track built on thrashing rhythms, ferocious vocal work, and deeply infectious melodies.
