Comments NOTHGARD singer/guitarist Dom R. Crey: “With ‘Deamonium I’ we have created a song that expresses the complexity of Nothgard. During writing I had a feeling that the song “only” with growls lacks the emotion. When the lyrics came, it was clear that we needed proper clean vocals. No, no pop vocals but a roaring rock voice. We had already subconsciously made a selection – Noora Louhimo of Battle Beast. Of course, we are extremely glad that Noora agreed to participate in ‘Deamonium I’. For me personally, the song is a highlight on our last work “Malady X”. That was certainly one of the reasons why we decided now to do a lyric video for ‘Deamonium I'”!

“Wow, what a blast! Four weeks, countless shows all over Europe and an incredibly awesome time. At the end of October we started with the guys of Parasite Inc. in the Malady X release-tour and would like to thank all those who came to the shows. The energy that our fans put up here was fantastic. We had never expected that lyrics of the new songs would be shouted at us during those shows – incredible! Just as great was the subsequent European tour with our Finnish brothers in mind, Omnium Gatherum & Wolfheart. Again, a big thank you to all our fans in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Hungary and Co – you know who you are!”

“With MALADY X, we have created an album that is both dark and serious, but on the other hand rife with catchy melodies – while not compromising our individual sound at all, on the contrary: I am sure we have defined the NOTHGARD-style more clearly than ever on this album. The clip for ‘Malady X’ was recorded in one take, meaning without interruptions and based on a specific choreography to make an authentic impression. The result is nothing less than breathtaking!

“Of course, MALADY X takes on an important role because it’s the title track. It represents everything that we, deep inside, find disturbing about society and current ways of thinking. We consciously address it in the lyrics – no-go’s and issues in daily life which should actually be perceived as such, but instead, we have lost awareness of them. Rather than standing in for our convictions, we choose to live according to false values.”

OMNIUM GATHERUM – announce European headline tour!
Finnish melodic death metal masters, OMNIUM GATHERUM, are going to head out on another headline run in November in order to present their upcoming album, “The Burning Cold”, which will be released on August 31st, to their European fans!
They will be supported by fellow countrymen Wolfheart and Nothgard.
OMNIUM GATHERUM comment,
“When November falls it’ll feel the Finnish burning cold over Europe! Needless to say OG’s stoked to get back on the road and bash these new songs for you, which we’re extra proud of! Starting the cycle from Summer Breeze, then hammering thru North America, and Finland, you can expect the band to be tuned to play on 11 and firing on all guns for this European headline run. Happy also to bring Finnish fellows of Wolfheart, and Nothgard from Germany with us for the melodeath domination trek of the autumn!”
Wolfheart further add,
