Jonas Lindblood, has the following to say about the deal: “Our next album, on Mighty Music, will be released in 2020 . The album will be a concept album based on the novel “The call of Cthuluhu” by H.P. Lovecraft”.

The 2020 PUTERAEON album will be recorded in Gotenburg and mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö.

Today, Danish guitar hero SOREN ANDERSEN releases his new single and official video, for the track “Bird Feeder”, taken from his new, upcoming album “Guilty Pleasures”, to be released on October 4th on Mighty Music. Andersen is one of the most popular rock guitarists out of Denmark, who has worked with Glenn Hughes, Mike Tramp, DAD, etc. “Bird Feeder” features a dream rhythm section: Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) on drums and Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple) on bass. SOREN ANDERSEN “Bird Feeder” official video
Soren Andersen tells about “Bird Feeder”: “Chad [Smith] came around my studio during the recordings of Glenn’s album “Resonate” in 2016. Chili Peppers were headlining Roskilde Festival that week and Chad decided to spend his day off laying down some drums on a few tracks for his good friend Glenn Hughes. After that session, Chad and I became friends and about a year later, Chad was back in Denmark on tour with Chili Peppers texting me: Let me know if you need drums on any tracks […]. So he came down and jammed for a few hours and one of those jams turned out to become “Bird Feeder”. I told Glenn about the track and as the beautiful human being he is, he offered to play bass on the track to complete the circle”
The “Bird Feeder” video was shot in Randers Regnskov Tropical Zoo and shows Soren Andersen love for birds. “I love birds!”, states the 45-year musician. “I have a small bird feeder right outside my kitchen window and I love to look at them eating. So I named the song “Bird Feeder” because of that, and we shot the video in a tropical nature park full of birds for the same reason”.

Mercyful Fate guitarist Michael Denner unleashes his new project. “Fountain Of Grace” is the new EP release from his new band DENNER’S INFERNO. The EP contains three tracks and is released in 500 limited copies in black 12” vinyl and 500 limited edition jewelcase CDs. The title track was released earlier as a single and official video.

Denner’s Inferno was created in the ashes of his former band Trickbag in 2018, mainly to transform the band from 70’s progressive hardrock to a more current vibe with new original songs and a new line up. The “Fountain Of Grace” EP is the first step from the new band, but a new full-length album, entitled “In Amber”, is coming up in November.
Michael Denner comments: “After a lot of thoughts around what to do next I ended up doing what turned up to be the exact right move towards the music style I really love: 70’s inspired heavy rock. The choice of team for this one came very natural. Bjarne and Flemming I’ve known for decades and exactly what they are capable to do with the rhythm section, and a good vibe to go with it. And by an introduction from Mighty Music’s Michael H. Andersen I found the golden voice of Chandler Mogel, a New Yorker with deep roots in the same music style as I love to do. This time I chose a selection of songs I wrote with good people during the last few years and a few obscure covers of songs which have made an impact on my taste in music since my journey as a heavy rock guitarist started many years ago now. This album is for the listeners who like their music hard and heavy with strong beautiful vocals and some No Nonsense playing to back it up. Enjoy!”

This week Brazilian black/death/thrash metal legends VULCANO signed a two-album record deal and publishing agreement with Mighty Music.
The band from São Paulo is currently putting the final touches on their new, 11th studio album, entitled “Eye In Hell”, which will be released on LP, CD and digital in early 2020 worldwide on the Danish label. The artwork will be done by Roberto Toderico (Tygers Of Pan Tang, Pestilence, Sinister) and mastering will happen in Medley Studio (Artillery, Thorium, Glenn Hughes), Copenhagen.
Zhema Rodero, guitar player and Vulcano founder, has the following to say about the deal:
“This is a great opportunity in our career and we are very proud about it. Wait for our new album in the next months. It will be a great push in the direction of the metalheads all over the world.”
Fernando Reis, Mighty Music’s international promotor, adds:

Vulcano is a part of the Brazilian Unholy Trinity (together with Sarcófago and Sepultura). In fact, it was the first of the three bands to release a studio album, back in 1986. Ever since then, the group have released 10 full-length albums, toured the world and kept the South-American extreme metal alive.

Today DENNER’S INFERNO release the title-track of their debut EP, “Fountain Of Grace”. The single, accompanied by a fitting official video, marks the debut of the legendary King Diamond and Mercyful Fate guitar player and composer Michael Denner and his new band, born from the ashes of Trickback in 2018 with a new, renewed line-up with 70’s prog hard rock meeting doom influences.

]]>You might know him for his 10 year long relationship as the guitarist for Glenn Hughes (ex-Deep Purple), but the 46 year old Dane Soren Andersen is much more.
Producer, co-owner of famed Medley Studios in Copenhagen, ambassador for world class equipment like TC Electronic, Yamaha Guitars and Line 6 and of course playing the six strings with a bunch of other great musicians.
These include Mike Tramp (ex-White Lion), Marco Mendoza and Tommy Aldridge (ex-Whitesnake / Thin Lizzy), Joe Lynn Turner (ex-Rainbow), Pretty Maids, The Dead Daisies, The Answer, Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Eric Martin and Billy Sheehan (MR. Big), Artillery, Tygers Of Pan Tang, Phil Campbell (ex-Mötorhead), Electric Guitars, Jesper Binzer (D:A:D).
His work as producer and guitarist on the Glenn Hughes album ‘Resonate’ made more people take notice of the brilliant Danish guitar player. For instance the maestro Joe Satriani who had this to say to the music site Music Aficionado:
“I’ve been listening to this record a lot. The songs go by and I go, “Wow, listen to that!” This guitarist is somebody I don’t know who’s also the co-producer, Soren Andersen, and man, he’s so good. It’s always cool when you hear somebody new who really impresses you. […] A guy like Soren Andersen is totally into the future. His playing is very natural-sounding, and he manages to perform to the songs while still putting in some crazy textures. His choice of notes is interesting—every time I put the record on, I go, “Hey, I didn’t hear that before.” I love when an album does that to me. Glenn has always played with great guitarists, and he’s got another one with Soren Andersen.”
Soren Andersen has previously released records of his own and he’s now taken his passion for the guitar to the next level in releasing an instrumental guitar album in the style of Joe Satriani/Steve Vai himself with all songs written by himself.
“This kind of album has been a dream of mine since I sat in math class and drew pictures of Marshall stacks in my school books when I was 14-15 years old. The songs have just added up over the last 30 years and this is the right time for me to finally fulfill this lifelong dream”, says Soren Andersen of the album ‘Guitar Pleasure’ to be released in the fall.
“I have learned that I’ve made a bit of a name for myself around the world and I’ve have often been asked for my own records especially after my performances with Glenn Hughes. I know I’m not in the same league technically as Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, and stylistically it’s way more inspired by 80s movie soundtracks, where I first fell in love with the lead melodies being played on the guitar as opposed to being a lead vocal line. But I promise I will deliver my 26 favorite tricks on the album”, says Soren Andersen with a smile and his typically relaxed mood.
The album features guest appearances from among others Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Glenn Hughes, Marco Mendoza and fellow Dane Ida Nielsen (Prince). First single from the album is the sunsoaked ‘City of Angels’ about his beloved Los Angeles with a music video shot around Venice Beach and Hollywood.
First single is “City Of Angels” filmed in… well, L.A., of course. On the 4th of October Soren Andersens new solo-album “Guilty Pleasures” will see the light of day worldwide through Mighty Music on LP, CD, ltd.box and digital.

Norwegian death metal pivotals BLOOD RED THRONE announced the first details of their new studio album. The record, the ninth in their 20 years career, will be called “Fit To Kill” and will be released in September 13th by Mighty Music. The artwork was done by Giannis Nakos.
Guitar player Død states:
“We keep climbing the Throne. Fit To Kill is by far our most old-school release since 2003’s Affiliated With the Suffering. Back to the roots. Death metal never dies”.

Soren is the guitarist of Glenn Hughes, Jesper Binzer (D-A-D) and has worked closely together with Mike Tramp for many years. Besides being a musician, Soren is also a highly acclaimed producer at his Medley Studio.
