Finnish prog-alt metal weirdness SOMEHOW JO has released a new single from their upcoming album and it sounds truly remarkable! The just released single carries the name ‘MAD TOWN’ and it combines progressive and alternative influences of metal music. With this news single the band has come up with an innovative version of making modern metal music. The upcoming ‘TUSK’ -album is the second release of these Finnish talents and it is released 22nd of November by INVERSE RECORDS.
According to band the new album is more harmonious, mature and especially a truly unique package which does not sound like typical Finnish metal music. Album is recorded, produced and mixed at Deep Noise Studios by Saku Moilanen (Deep Noise Studios, Red Moon Architect, The Hypothesis). The band praises their producer Moilanen and says that he was one of the main characters who brought more firmness and out-of-the-box-ideas for the album.
“This album almost felt like an impossible project and it sure was a long one! Thanks to Saku and his determination we managed to pull it trough perfectly and found a totally new strength and atmosphere to make our music. This TUSK- album is one of the amazing steps on our path and we are super excited to share it to you all! It is truly an interesting album filled with material which is not typical Finnish music!” – Sakari Karjalainen / guitar
The album has been mastered at SoundSpiral Audio by Finnish metal mastermind Juho Räihä (Swallow the Sun, Before the Dawn, Gloria Morti). Album pre-sales have already started and with this new release it can be said that the new material of SOMEHOW JO sounds truly promising!

KING SATAN is industrial metal band from Tampere, Finland founded in the end of 2015 by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist KING ALEISTER SATAN. The band serves eccentric and over-the-top style of harsh extreme metal which is heavily infused with different elements all the way from hard rock and death punk to aggrotech and electro-industrial.
The band gained international attention in the underground metal circles with powerful live performances, controversial music videos and genre-bending debut album KING FUCKING SATAN (2017). The band’s outspoken attitude towards occult and spiritual anarchy was served in unique blend of electro-metal which appeared to be not alien to neither satire or philosophical sedition.
With several festival shows and touring in Finland and mainland Europe in 2018 together with series of club shows while supporting or sharing stage with such acts as PAIN, PERTURBATOR, CARPENTER BRUT, HOCICO, TURMION KÄTILÖT and VELVET ACID CHRIST the band promoted their debut album and gained themselves reputation for being distinctive and energetic live band. With full band line-up, babalonian female voice of keyboardist KATHERINE BOSS and powerful demonic vocals of band’s mastermind KING ALEISTER SATAN the band delivers fierce soundscapes full of excessive synths and bass, electro beats, live drums and heavily distorted guitars that can be consumed both in dance floor and in a moshpit, and which most surely bows to nothing and to no one.
KING SATAN’s second full length album titled I WANT YOU TO WORSHIP SATAN (2019) was set to be released in 22nd November 2019 by INVERSE RECORDS and which will be introduced to the world once again by singles with impudent music videos all written and directed by band’s KING ALEISTER SATAN himself.

Portuguese melodic metal band Enchantya released their long-awaited second album “On Light and Wrath” in May 24th 2019 by Inverse Records.
WATCH music video for “The Beginning”: https://youtu.be/_GqZEaviolc
Singer Rute Fevereiro comments:
“On Light and Wrath is Enchantya’s musical essay about the two extremes of the human existence and the struggle for balance within and outside the soul. Inspired by the union of opposites Enchantya present this concept in their music, facing darkness in heavy tracks like “Last Moon of March” and “From the Ashes” and diving into the light in moments like “Near Life Experience” and “Downfall to Power”, with the interlude “Alma” making the bridge between two worlds of emotions that are complementary. With the presence of unforgettable guests, a choir and orchestrations, Enchantya promise with “On Light and Wrath” a listening experience that you won’t forget.”

De Lirium’s Order has released their fourth album SINGULARITY
Finnish technical death metal act De Lirium’s Order is releasing their fourth album “Singularity” today via Inverse Records.
De Lirium’s Order was formed in 1998 by guitarist Juha Kupiainen and today, it is one of the most praised groups in technical death metal. Drawing inspiration also from thrash and progressive metal, De Lirium’s Order is known for their creative, experimental guitar riffs, solos and drum patterns. The current line-up consists of musicians from the acts like Abbath, Omnium Gatherum and Raskasta Joulua. The band’s previous album release Veniversum (2012) gets now a much awaited continuum with Singularity which again opens new musical pathways for the band through the album’s futuristic, ambitious concept.
Juha Kupiainen comments: “After releasing our previous album Veniversum, we have kept low profile until we were contacted by an unknown agent who encouraged us to compose new music that reaches beyond the stars. We aligned our thoughts with the concept of Singularity, both technical and physical, and started our journey to create the conceptual, explorative and the very best album ever to come out from the oven of De Lirium’s Order.”
About the production of the album Kupiainen states: “Several compositions date back to 2010. After receiving the inspiration for “Singularity” in 2013, I had to be patient enough to mature the ideas and compose new tracks over the course of five years. I have had the best possible lineup to program, arrange and perform the music to forge this album in its full-length.” – Kari, Erkki, Vesa, Ukri, Mikael and Marko.
Singularity’s cover art was created by the renowned light artist Hannu Huhtamo. For the promotional photographs, Huhtamo also embedded the band amidst his creative light art illustrations. In order to capture the band group photo, the band was asked to stay completely still for 3 minutes while he was painting light around them.

Watch a beautiful music video which was shot in the northern Norway: https://youtu.be/lmoy4tY3aFg
Multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Tobias Tåg comments:
“The whole process of writing Lands of Old and recording the video in the wild mountains of northern Norway has been a memory for life. This song is about connecting with nature but also about reconnecting with your ancient past. I think we really captured the mystique of the landscape and made both music and picture go hand in hand. An inspiring trip and a great opportunity for me to grow as a performer and to learn some new cool things about Music Video making.
High and Low the Mountain Sing!”

]]>Critically acclaimed Finnish death metal act De Lirium’s Order is releasing their fourth album Singularity on April 26, 2019 via Inverse Records. Today, the band releases the title track as a second single. Singularity comes with a sci-fi inspired fractal music video.

The band’s previous album release Veniversum (2012) gets now a much awaited continuum with Singularity which again opens new musical pathways for the band through the album’s futuristic, ambitious concept.
Guitarist Juha Kupiainen comments on the new single:
“In Singularity the future and the present are entangled. After the technological singularity, the self-aware AI will be born and this piece depicts his journey from this moment to the very end of the universe when even black holes have ceased to exist.”
About the concept behind the album Singularity Kupiainen states: “We wanted to compose new music that reaches beyond the stars, and thus aligned our thoughts with the concept of Singularity, both the physical and the technological one when the machines take over. We started our journey to create the most explorative and ambitious album ever to come out from the oven of De Lirium’s Order.”
Artist Hizal Çelik had this to say about his fractal work: ‘’Singularity represented a challenge from a visual standpoint when it came to describing an intelligence spanning from microscopic to cosmic in size. The mesmerizing, foreign-feeling natural phenomenon that are fractals work well to help bring this song to life. Given their infinitely looping nature, fractals have no sense of scale, no real start or end; it is just like the intelligent form that the song is about.’’

]]>Finnish atmospheric avant-garde black metal band Wyrmwoods released their second album “Spirit & Teeth” via Inverse Records.
The band’s sole member Nuurag-Vaarn comments:
“The new album “Spirit & Teeth” is more experimental and avant-garde than the previous album, even though the production is a bit more lo-fi and Black Metal. Most of the synths have been replaced with an electric piano and with it there’s slightly more jazz influences to be heard.
Of course Black Metal’s still the main thing and there’s also some more straightforward Black Metal parts, like the start of the titular song, which then evolves into something else, with Darkspace and even Swans influences.”

]]>Countless Goodbyes announces their genesis, introducing a new surprising sound to fans and lovers of metal and rock with the release of their long-awaited debut album, Cycles.
The forthcoming record is set to be released on April 19th, 2019 by Inverse Records.
The second single ‘Faith in Me’ from the upcoming album is released today.
Watch Faith in Me music video: https://youtu.be/yUk7v04z4bE
Vocalist Onni Kivikaarre comments:
“The song is about relationships and self-examination; rethinking what really matters. It’s about sacrifices, learning to let go and to say goodbye.”
Cycles is composed of 10 tracks.
The album will introduce a new style to the band’s music, since the band has added a lot of clean singing in to their songs to support the heavier screams.
On the album, the band’s new singer, Onni Kivikaarre, among other topics is singing about the present course of the world toward potential man-made ruin which the cover art of Cycles refers to.
Cycles will bring something new to the lovers of metal music by introducing compelling melodies, heavy riffs and punchy hooks.
Band Countless Goodbyes reincarnated in 2017, when their new singer moved to Finland from Germany to record Cycles and start his singing career in Countless Goodbyes.
Countless Goodbyes have shared stages with metalcore-giants such as Asking Alexandria and August Burns Red.
Cycles is the most striking release of Countless Goodbyes to date.
