New York death metal giants IMMOLATION are proud to release the music video for ‘The Distorting Light’ off their latest release “Atonement”.
The video was created and directed by Robert Vigna while Angelo Damanti handled the camera work as well as served as the technical advisor and equipment specialist. The band performance was filmed at Dark City Studios in Yonkers, NY.

Cover art was created by renowned artist Pär Olofsson (IMMORTAL, THE FACELESS, EXODUS, ABYSMAL DAWN), along with additional artwork by the very talented Zbigniew Bielak (GHOST, ENSLAVED, PARADISE LOST, WATAIN).

Four hard and heavy bands have just been announced for COPENHELL 2019’s warm-up day on Wednesday, June 19 – EAGLES OF DEATH METAL, IMMOLATION, 1000MODS and LIKE A STORM.
In 2018, COPENHELL introduced a fourth festival day before the three ’real’ festival days, where a part of the festival site is opened and the audience gets to warm up with bands on the Pandæmonium stage and party hard in the popular Biergarten tent. This new tradition continues at COPENHELL 2019, and four of the five bands that will entertain the audience on Wednesday, June 19 are now ready.
Despite their name, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL play punked and funky bluegrass desert rock. We’re talking classic decadent and dirty rock’n’roll atmosphere with a cheeky twinkle in its eye – not least from the incredibly charismatic lead singer Jesse Hughes. There is absolutely no pretentiousness at all about this band’s energetic and infectious rockabilly metal, which sounds exactly like something straight out of a jukebox in a dingy, smoke-filled biker bar somewhere in backwater USA. Expect great entertainment value from COPENHELL 2019’s main act on Wednesday!
The New York-band IMMOLATION are true death metal pioneers and for many fans, they are still one of the greatest names in the genre to this day. Baby’s being thrown in the trash, children drowning in long drop toilets. I mean literally drowning in a tomb of feces. Walk most places at night and you’re likely to get robbed, raped or killed. Hijackings, home invasions, in the cities, suburbs, rural areas and townships. No one is safe here. It’s just a constant stream of the most horrendous acts you could imagine committed against your fellow women, men and children. We’re really the “hold my beer” nation of grotesque morals.”
He goes on to add
“I guess that’s where the whole, “my eyes are full” thing comes from. You’re just getting blasted day in and day out with news reports of the most vile acts of murder and rape. It really starts to feel like you’re living with some form of low level trauma. So there’s “Immolation” in that sense, and of course the people that pay with their actual lives. “

Established in 2012 and renowned as one of South Africa’s top metal acts, Zombies Ate My Girlfriend has enjoyed sharing stages with a slew of touring bands from abroad. Including, Protest the Hero, Darkest Hour, 36 Crazyfists, Monuments, August Burns Red, Unearth and DevilDriver. In 2016 the guys were crowned champions of the Wacken Metal Battle at the legendary Wacken Open Air in Germany, making them the first South African band to achieve this feat. South African album launch shows will take place in early November in both Cape Town and Gauteng, with a German tour planned for 2019.
