Swedish melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES have recently wrapped up a successful run of international summer festival appearances and are set to continue the promotional campaign of their acclaimed current album “To Drink From The Night Itself” (Century Media Records, 2018) with a tour across North America in an All-Swedish package together with Amon Amarth, labelmates Arch Enemy and Grand Magus, before heading out on European roads again, this time in the headlining role with Nifelheim and labelmates Deserted Fear supporting.
AT THE GATES frontman Tomas Lindberg commented as follows: “Finally it is time for us to return to Europe for a real headline run! We have been looking forward to this for a while…It is always so special playing in front of your own crowd. We can’t wait for these special shows. We also have the privilege to share the tour with our Swedish metal brothers Nifelheim. We have played a few select shows in Sweden together before and it is always a blast. This will be the one tour you don’t want to miss this winter. We are all very fired up! Along for the ride is also German death metal warriors Deserted Fear. DESERTED FEAR – Announce European tour with At The Gates & Nifelheim!
German Death Metallers Deserted Fear are excited to announce that they will join Century Media Records label mates At The Gates as well as Nifelheim on a European tour in December:
“Crazy! At the time when we started listening to Metal and Deserted Fear was born, At The Gates was still dead but nevertheless we had the dream to tour with them one day. We are sure that we speak for a lot guitarists, drummers and vocalists when we say that these musicians are idols and their records are masterpieces! AT THE GATES ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES SUPPORTING AMON AMARTH
Swedish melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES announce Berserker World Tour ’19 presented by The Noise. The band will be on tour supporting headliners Amon Amarth, with direct support from labelmates Arch Enemy. The massive tour starts on September 26th in Seattle, WA and wraps on October 26th in Los Angeles. Fans can purchase pre-sale tickets from today on via Amon Amarth and Citi. Ticketmaster, Live Nation, venue, radio, and Blabbermouth (password BLABBER) pre-sales will be available on Wednesday, April 17th. Finally, tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, April 19th.
“Berserkers! We will lead a Swedish metal invasion of North America this September and October along with our friends Arch Enemy, At The Gates and Grand Magus,” adds headliners Amon Amarth. “Come fight and feast with us and earn your seat in the great golden hall. Most recently, AT THE GATES released a limited 7″ EP entitled The Mirror Black featuring the two songs ” The Mirror Black” and “Daggers Of Black Haze” off their latest LP To Drink From The Night Itself album in alternative versions that include guest vocals by Rob Miller (Amebix, Tau Cross). Additionally, AT THE GATES released the digital EP With The Pantheons Blind, which contains all six bonus tracks from the To Drink From The Night Itself recording sessions. Further promoting their acclaimed current album “To Drink From The Night Itself”, Swedish melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES have now started a massive European tour together with Behemoth and Wolves In The Throne Room.
AT THE GATES are now also releasing both a strictly limited 7″ EP entitled “The Mirror Black” and a special Digital EP entitled “With The Pantheons Blind” today.
Enhancing the release of the EP’s, AT THE GATES are also debuting a video clip for the track “The Mirror Black” in the version featuring guest vocals by Rob Miller (Amebix, Tau Cross). The clip was created by Costin Chioreanu / Twilight13Media, who also is also responsible for the artwork duties of the entire “To Drink From The Night Itself” release. The video can now be seen here:

“When we decided that we wanted to release the two Rob Miller tracks on a separate 7″, we felt that ‘The Mirror Black‘ was worthy of its own video. “The idea of getting guest vocalists on board for the bonus tracks for the album was us trying something new again…This time we wanted to get other artsists involved in our music, getting their takes on our new songs. It was a pleasure working with everybody and all songs grew immensely in the process. The songs we did with Rob Miller was for me personally something extra. Of course, people who know me, know that I am a massive Amebix fan. And I love the more recent stuff with Tau Cross too. I had no idea what to expect. But the songs grew so goddamn much together with Rob‘s powerful voice. We decided early on that these versions were worthy of their own release. This is for me personally one of the greatest achievements of my career, to share the vocal space with one of my favourite vocalists of all time. I am so proud of this release. Hope everyone else gets as much joy out of it as I do.”

AT THE GATES – North American tour starts today; Roadburn Festival 2019!
After a successful touring run across Latin America and shows in their native Sweden, Gothenburg-based melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES are returning to North America as the special guest on Behemoth’s upcoming “Ecclesia Diabolica” tour, with Wolves In The Throne Room rounding out the bill. This marks the band’s first North American tour in support of their new album ‘To Drink From the Night Itself’.
In regards to the North American tour, AT THE GATES vocalist Tomas Lindberg adds: “AT THE GATES have not done a support tour since 1996. When we got invited to this tour, we immediately saw the logic to the package. This is three bands with their own unique sound, three bands totally dedicated to finding the core of their art. AT THE GATES – North American & more international tour dates revealed!
While Gothenburg-based melodic death metal pioneers AT THE GATES are currently promoting their latest, much acclaimed album release “To Drink From The Night Itself” on the road, they are pleased to announce their return to North America for a tour together with Behemoth and Wolves In The Throne Room in October/November.
AT THE GATES vocalist Tomas Lindberg commented: “AT THE GATES have not done a support tour since 1996. When we got invited to this tour, we immediately saw the logic to the package. This is three bands with their own unique sound, three bands totally dedicated to finding the core of their art. Three important bands.
